The project was based on the analysis of functions and internal flows: as the environment is very large and open, we characterised the spaces to avoid uniformity and created light partitions to define the path of customers from the car park to the beach, without obstructing the work of the staff. The spaces were differentiated according to their own characteristics and according to their use during the day. The project was enriched by the design of furnishing elements, such as lighting points, partition walls and suspended light structures, which characterised the new spaces. The project intervened on pre-existing elements without removing them, giving them a new look and making them key elements in the rooms’ interpretation. The project’s design also involved the outdoor spaces as an extension of the interiors.
